“Changing the course of a nation, one classroom at a time” PIF has a vision to build and establish quality Bible-based schools that are equipped with excellent staff, facilities, and curriculum to prepare today's children to be sound Christian leaders of tomorrow. We believe that it is the native people of a country that will bring the change in the nation. That is why we have established good, solid relationships with the local people of Leon, Nicaragua, whom we continue to communicate with and support through finances, teacher training and curriculum, and a short-term missions team that visits each year. In March 2005, about twelve acres of land was purchased in León, Nicaragua. León is located 45 miles northwest of the central capital of Managua. It is here that PIF built and opened the first of many schools to come. The Nicaragua School Project, an in-progress fundraiser to equip and expand the school, was formally launched in April 2005. Promise International Academy of León is under the supervision of the International Schools Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing quality schools in areas of poverty. |
